The Artist

Gemima Mbilo is a Congolese abstract-realist painter and a current student at SCAD Atlanta. Her art career began in 2016 when she made portraits of her friends and family.

In 2018, Gemima started uploading her work and selling it within hours on social media. That motivated her to pursue her dream and become a full-time artist. Through her artwork, she explores themes of culture, freedom, and authenticity.
